SEATTLE TRANSPORT

Seattle Transportation -There are many means of transportation to get around the city of Seattle. There are buses and the monorail. Also there are fleets of taxis. Be sure to check with your hotel to see if they offer shuttle services. This can be very helpful, firstly if you have arrived at the airport but some have shuttle services to key attractions. If you’re driving yourself , while you’re going about the city of Seattle also be safe and follow the traffic signals and parking laws.

Travel Guide

There are four commuter transit companies Metro Transit, Pierce Transit, Community Transit and Sound Transit and between them they run bus services covering all districts of Seattle.

You can also use the DART - Metro’s Dial a Ride Transit as it offers variable routing in some parts of King County and if this suits you it is very convenient. The cost is the same as a bus ride on the Metro. You can call up toll free 1-866-261-DART or 3278.

The Monorail runs is a single route and it goes from Westlake Mall to Seattle Center. It runs about every 10 minutes and is a sightseeing trip for visitors as well as getting you from the Mall to the Center. It costs $3-4 for an adult for a return trip and half price for anyone under 17 years.
